Vogue credits celebrities like Iggy Azalea, Miley Cyrus, Shakira, Beyoncé, Kim Kardashian and butt-selfie queen of the Internet Jen Selter for the popularization of the voluptious butt. Yes, seriously, Miley Cyrus is given credit for making big booties beautiful.

Later, Vogue goes on to give credit where credit is (partially) due: Jennifer Lopez.

"Perhaps we have Jennifer Lopez to thank (or blame?) for sparking the booty movement," Vogue writes. "When she first arrived on the scene in the late nineties, a lot of the buzz surrounding her focused on the back of her voluptuous body."
