Winter TV Preview: Chicago Fire

Chicago Fire, NBC
Returned Wednesday, January 2 at 9/8c

Talk about caliente! Despite lacking Latinos in the main cast, NBC’s Chicago Fire, which follows the lives of firefighters and paramedics working at the Chicago Fire Department, has managed to bring on some sabor with several recurring actors, including Jon Seda, Mo Gallini and Joe Minoso. But this winter, expect the combustible level to rise with the arrival of Spanish actress Sarah Shahi. The former Dallas Cowboys cheerleader, who most recently starred on USA’s Fairly Legal, will appear in at least five episodes of the Dick Wolf-produced drama. Shahi will guest star as Renee Royce, a love interest for firefighter Kelly Severeid (played by Taylor Kinney). Somebody call 9-1-1!
