Even though Fashion's Night Out is going on its fourth year, we still hear the question: What's FNO? The simple response would be that it's a night of shopping where you can indulge in fashion mayhem, free drinks, free goodies, and a whole lot of fun. The serious answer is that the event was created in 2009 by Vogue, the Council of Fashion Designers of America, NYC & Company and the City of New York to "celebrate fashion, restore consumer confidence, and boost the industry’s economy during the recession."
Regardless of how FNO is described, if you love fashion and shopping, the night (Thursday, September 6) should not be missed. As FNO expands each year, more cities will be participating, but we’ll save you some headache of figuring out where to go, who to see, and where to shop with this handy NYC guide.
