Sofia Vergara’s 'Killer Women' Cancelled After Two Episodes

Tricia Helfer from Killer Women

Well, that was fast. Sofia Vergara’s latest TV venture, Killer Women, has fallen flat, and was cancelled after just two episodes.

The show, which was produced by the Colombian actress, was pulled from ABC’s schedule after two weeks of dismal ratings and terrible reviews. Vergara’s show focused on the only female Texas Ranger in the force, played by Tricia Helfer of Battlestar Galactica fame. The show had Vergara's fingerprints all over it: Latina criminals were shown clad in skintight, red dresses, and Hispanic culture played a prominant role in the San Antonio-set drama.

However, none of these Latino influences could keep the show afloat. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the show was the second lowest-rated premiere of the season, just behind ABC’s Assests, which was also cancelled.

The network will continue to air the show until Mind Games, starring Christian Slater, premieres on Feb. 25.

We're sorry to see the show go, but hopefully, Sofia has some other projects in the works!
