On Wednesday night, HBO held a Game of Thrones season 4 premiere viewing party for more than 7,000 fans in NYC.
During the premiere event, a Q&A session with Game of Thrones author George R.R. Martin was held where he discussed the possibility of the show wrapping up with a feature film.
“It all depends on how long the main series runs," Martin told The Hollywood Reporter.
"Do we run for seven years? Do we run for eight? Do we run for 10? The books get bigger and bigger (in scope). It might need a feature to tie things up, something with a feature budget, like $100 million for two hours. Those dragons get real big, you know?”
According to Forbes, a Game of Thrones movie would be following HBO's current business model, having turned their Sex and the City and Entourage series into film franchises.
Would you be happy if there were to be a Game of Thrones movie?
