A new study has found that more than one-third of U.S. adults have a combination of health problems identified as metabolic syndrome, and Hispanics suffer at disproportionate rates. 

According to the Journal of the American Medical Association, Hispanics had the highest prevalence rate, with 39% suffering from the syndrome; non-Hispanic Whites followed at 37.4% and blacks followed at 35.5 percent.
