It's sprinkled on chicken, mixed into rice, massaged into pernil. It's the ubiquitous Latin spice: adobo. If you didn't grow up in a household where the adobo flowed freely: adobo is an all-purpose seasoning and though recipes vary, it's usually made with salt, pepper, garlic, cumin, and a few other dried spices. You can make your own or find the bottled stuff in nearly every grocery store across America. And when we say all-purpose, we mean it. You'll be hard pressed to find a Latin dinner without adobo.
