Now, JoAnna Garcia has signed on to guest star on the hit CBS comedy How I Met Your Mother, TVGuide.com reports. The actress will appear in an episode called “The Window,” which will air on Dec. 7 at 8PM.

Brazilian actress Morena Baccarin (Serenity, Firefly) called me up last night to give me the juicy details on her new ABC show, V, a reimagining of the 1983 miniseries by Kenneth Johnson, premiering Nov. 3 at 8 p.m. Like the original, V is about aliens (known as “The Visitors”) who try to gain control of planet Earth. Morena, 30, plays Anna, the leader of the V's.

In observance of Violence Awareness Month, we sat down with domestic violence survivor April Lee Hernandez, (Freedom Writers). The Puerto Rican actress, 29, currently stars as a professional woman who is brutally beaten by her husband in the Off-Broadway play The Death of A Dream, showing through Nov. 9. She spoke to Latina.com about her new play and the relationship that almost ended her life. April is sharing her personal story in the hopes that it will raise awareness and help save the lives of other women who are likewise afflicted.
