Wisin y Yandel were the big winners of the Best Latino Artist award at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards (VMA)! The Puerto Rican reggaeton duo, who have more than 15 platinum albums in the U.S. and even more across Latin America, will accept their award during the network’s Spanish-subtitled transmission of the 2011 VMAs next Monday, Sept. 5 at 7 p.m. ET.

Reggaeton artists Wisin & Yandel recently traveled to Haiti to continue their support of St. Joseph’s orphanage in Port Au Prince, which was destroyed by the devastating quake last year. The duo donated $100,000 towards the restoration of the seven-story building, which once housed Haiti’s abandoned children. It has taken a year to clean the ground since there is such limited access to machinery to remove the debris. The cleaning of the grounds and the purchase of the new building is all part of Wisin & Yandel’s heart felt contribution.

Check out the new video Wisin y Yandel just dropped for their new single, “No Dejes Que Se Apague” from their upcoming album, “Los Vaqueros: El Regreso". The video features 50 Cent and T-Pain and was shot movie-style in L.A. by well-known director  Jessy Terrero.

“This video is huge, it is more of a movie, something we wanted to produce especially for our fans,” said Wisin.

The single is available on iTunes December 21st and the album hits stores January 25th.

Attention: La Revolucion has finally arrived. Wisin y Yandel’s new CD dropped today and it’s already no. 1 on iTunes. The album features some interesting collabos with folks like 50 Cent (“Mujeres in the Club”), Ivy Queen (“Perfecto”) and Ednita Nazario (“Como Quieres Que Te Olivde?”), a Boricua songstress who launched her career long before the reggaetoneros were born. “It was the first time we recorded with her and for us, it was an honor,” said Wisin, who co-wrote the song with Nazario.
