We caught up with Roberto Martinez, winner of Ali Fedotowsky's heart on season 6 of The Bachelorette to see how wedding plans are coming along since his bride-to-be was injured and had to postpone the wedding. Among other things, we found out that Ali really wants warm weather for the wedding so the special day will most likely scheduled for next spring or summer and that so far, Roberto hasn't had to deal with any scary bridezilla moments—which we have to say is pretty admirable given the circumstance.

When Hector and I began planning our wedding we kind of decided against giving each other presents. I know many people believe it’s a tradition, but we figured a wedding is enough money and our honeymoon can be our gift to each other. And honestly, I don’t even know the meaning behind the “tradition”. However, now that the date is getting closer I am seriously considering gifting him something. I know my man, and he is always surprising me with gifts and I would feel terrible if he surprises me once again on our wedding day and I didn’t return the gesture.

Thalia is still reeling from the sudden death of her mother, Yolanda Miranda, but at least she has a close group of friends and family who are there to support her during this difficult time.

My wedding was supposed to be this weekend, but rather than sulk around thinking about what would have been, I planned an unforgettable night of bachelorette fun for my best friend, Nercys, and I made sure she partied like a rockstar for her last night as a single woman!

People have always told me what a nightmare it can be when creating your wedding guest list, but, of course, I thought it’d be different for me. After researching wedding guest list etiquette, I was certain that by following a few standards I could keep my initial (intimate) number down to 100 guests.
The criteria is as follows:
- You must know both of us
- Be a close family member or a childhood friend (or friend of many years).

And so the planning begins!
While I had some ideas of my own, I thought I should have a brainstorming session with my fiancé and get a feel for his thoughts on the nuptials. But when I sat down with Hector on a Saturday afternoon, super excited to begin laying out my dream wedding, I was hit with the harsh reality that Hector and I didn’t see eye to eye on this. Not only did Hec not want a big production; he also didn’t want to be all that involved in the planning process either – what’s a girl to do?!

For as long as I’ve been working at Latina, I’ve been in a relationship with Hector. And, just like in my job, I’ve dedicated time and energy into my relationship to make it lasting and successful. Fast-forward three years and I am the Fashion Market Editor at the magazine and still going strong with my live-in boyfriend. Everything was going according to plan in both areas of my life until one day my personal life skyrocketed.
