I’m back from Aruba and it was the perfect getaway, so much so that we extended our stay for a few more days defeating the purpose of a “mini-moon” (a short honeymoon vacation). It was just too good to leave, we relaxed at the beach, celebrated, did snuba (a combo of snorkel and scuba), shared romantic dinners, and even found a decent salsa club to get our dance on.

I got married last weekend and I couldn’t be happier… I’m positively glowing! A few days before the wedding, it felt as if I had saved up all the stress that most brides experience through the wedding planning process for the last few days. There were so many last minute things I needed to do and small details like menus and ceremony programs to handle.

Tonight on the season finale of MTV Tr3s’ reality series, Quiero Mi Boda, we meet 44-year-old Nancy and 54-year-old Bill. When they met, both experienced an instant connection because of their mutual love for bodybuilding. Once they began dating, having their children get along with one another wasn’t difficult at all, but it was another story when it came to planning their wedding.

Tonight on MTV Tr3s’ reality series, Quiero Mi Boda, we meet 22-year-old Kelsey and 31-year-old Mike. The Missourian couple ran into some conflict with each other over the religious aspect of their wedding ceremony. For Kelsey, whose mother is Cuban, having a Catholic ceremony was an important tradition in her family. For Mike, who is German-American and grew up in a denominational church, it wasn’t. In addition, the couple also wanted a warmer climate for their wedding – somewhere far from the cold of Missouri.

Tonight on MTV Tr3s’ reality series, Quiero Mi Boda, we meet 25-year-old Lucy and 26-year-old Jorge. The Californian couple met as teenagers and dated for a decade before they tied the knot. For a while, the young couple was chaperoned by Lucy’s nephews and nieces during dates. For Lucy, who was born in Mexico, the date chaperoning was just an expectation placed by her parents, but for Jorge, who is Mexican-American, it took some getting used to.

After being rescheduled three times, my bridal shower finally happened and it was totally a success!! I couldn’t have asked for a better time spent with the women I love. The day was filled with surprises, games, heartfelt wishes, a little crying, and of course unlimited mimosas. Here are some photos to recap the lovely brunch bridal shower. I hope you can feel the love from the photos like I did that day.

As you all know a few months back I postponed my wedding date. As a result, I had to decide how I wanted to follow-up with my guests to notify them of the new date for my big day. I really didn’t want to do the website thing because I simply don’t like it, so I caved in and ordered some simple laser print invites. I felt it was important for the new invite to be complimentary to the original invite, so I made sure it was designed based off of what I’d already sent out.
