Same-sex marriage was legalized in the capital city of Mexico earlier this month and just last week the country witnessed the historic marriage of five gay couples. "Today is a historic day," Civil Registry Judge Hegel Cortes said at the ceremony, which took place on March 11, 2010 at the old city hall building in Mexico city, "It solidifies the evolution of one of the most important rights."

Wilmer Valderrama has no love for the big top. In a new public awareness video for PETA, the Venezuelan and Colombian actor takes aim at circuses for their harsh treatment of elephants, bears, tigers and other creatures. "As an actor, it's my job to entertain people. Nobody forces me to perform. But sadly, animals in circuses aren't so lucky," says Valderrama in the video.
