For starters, the beloved and devilishly handsome Bruno Mars kicked off the show, which aired live from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The network providing culturally relevant programming for English-speaking Latinos, which was founded in 2004, has teamed up with J.Lo for a brand new movement. The Boricua pop star, who took a majority stake in the company last year, was officially appointed chief creative officer of the channel, which reaches an estimated 31 million homes nationwide.

A new Latino neighbor has moved into Sesame Street. Armando, who is nicknamed Mando, will be the new Latino character on the iconic PBS show. Puerto Rican actor Ismael Cruz Cordova will play the energetic and friendly sky blue Muppet. Cordova has a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and has previously starred in shows like, The Good Wife.
