Joel Morales was a small-framed, fragile boy from East Harlem who faced bullies at school on a daily basis for two years.

As a result, Morales sought a way out from the torment in the most tragic way possible -- he committed suicide.

On May 29, 2012, 12-year-old Morales took matters into his own hands and hanged himself.

"I don't know why he did that," said Morales' mother, Lisbeth Babilonia. "Every morning, he always said 'I love you mom. Give me a hug and a kiss. He was a sweet son. He did everything good."
