Although I’ve always wanted to be fuller, I never really knew how to gain weight the right way. The thought of stuffing my face with a mountain of food as often as possible killed my appetite so I usually went about it the seemingly easier (read: unhealthy) way by choosing burgers and fries or any other greasy option on the menu when I ate out. Well for this challenge I wanted to pack on the pounds while keeping my risk for heart failure at a minimum. So I turned to nutritionist Christina Persaud for a list of healthy foods containing good-for-me fats.

Chicas, I have a confession to make. I have binged. Badly. I’m talking French fries, coconut cake, beer (Heineken Light, to my credit), and pizza. One of my closest friends graduated from her master’s program at Columbia University (congrats, Smriti!) and we went a little crazy celebrating at her house. And even though we played Pitbull’s “I Know You Want Me” at least 10 times and danced in her living room (kids, don’t try drunken cardio at home), somehow I don’t think that cut it.

I just got back from a wonderful trip to the Dominican Republic, and frankly I wish I was still there—soaking up that Caribbean sunshine, diving into the buffet food and chilling by the pool while checking out the eye candy.
