Sofia Vergara has been tapped to co-star in the new ABC comedy pilot, An American Family. The documentary-style comedy from 20th TV revolves around three very different families. One is traditional, another consists of a young Latina mom (Vergara) recently married to a man 30 years her senior and the third family is a gay couple who have just adopted a Vietnamese baby. Jason Winer is set to direct the show, originally created by Steven Levitan and Christopher Lloyd.
