When presenting the Golden Globe for Best Television Series Musical or Comedy, Antonio Banderas quickly rattled off a whole soliloquy in Spanish while co-presenter Salma Hayek interrupted him and said, “I don’t understand what he’s saying either.” The award went to Modern Family, which stars Colombian actress Sofia Vergara. Vergara and producer Steven Levitan co-accepted the honor.

Sofia Vergara was nominated at the Golden Globes tonight for Best Supporting Actress, but the Colombian actress lost the award to American Horror Story star Jessica Lange.
Vergara was nominated for a Golden Globe last year in the same category. She was also nominated for an Emmy this year for her portrayal of Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on the hit ABC comedy, Modern Family.
