At the memorial last night for the shooting victims and survivors of the horrific shooting in Tucson, the intern credited with saving the life of Congresswoman Gabby Giffords, Daniel Hernandez, earned a standing ovation for his passionate speech. Telling the crowd that he must "humbly reject the title of hero," a clearly overwhelmed and emotional Hernandez gave a short but touching speech about reserving that title for public servants and those who have dedicated their lives to helping others.

In an interview with Fox News Latino, Daniel Hernández, the 20-year-old intern who saved  Rep. Gabrielle Giffords' life, opened up about Saturday's tragic shooting and how he kept his wits about him.

“My main goal was to try to make sure the congresswoman and everyone was ok," the University of Arizona junior said. "When I saw injured people I tried to tend to them as good as I could, until emergency personnel arrived.”
