This is one collabo we're dying to hear more about. Colombian pop queen Shakira recently hit the studio with alt-raperos Calle 13 for a very fruitful recording session in the Bahamas. How do we know? One of the producers in the studio session, James Wisner, was kind enough to post a photo of the whole group on his MySpace profile. Thanks, James!

Shakira landed in Punta del Este, Uruguay earlier this week with the three things every girls needs this season. Her boyfriend of 8 years, Antonio de la Rua, her hermano and a big, bristly Christmas tree!
Arriving at the airport, one of Shaki's carry-on's included the enormous tree. We're guessing it must be near impossible to find a Christmas tree in Uruguay, but this must have been totally weird for the airport officials helping them unload their private plane.

Shakira may not be able to Barack the Vote herself this November, but she's using her influence over young voters in America to put the senator from Illinois in the White House.
“I support Barack Obama because I think that he is the person that can bring the world the true American message,” Shakira said in a statement. “I feel in my heart that he would be able to reconstruct peace and confidence in the United States.”

Now that they've seen what Shakira's hips can do, music conglomerate Live Nation wants to see what the rest of her can deliver. The Colombian pop star, who's single "Hips Don't Lie" catapulted to the top of the charts in 2006 and made her subsequent Oral Fixation tour one of the most popular in the last decade, is on the verge of signing a multimillion dollar deal with all-in-one music behemoth, worth close to $70 million according to the New York Post, though insiders say Shaki is worth quite a bit more.
