Shakira and Rene Perez of Puerto Rican alternative group Calle 13 teamed up over the weekend to give the huge crowd gathered for the Glastonbury music festival a special treat. The two stars came together to perform their song "Gordita" at Europe's largest musical event and we've got it on video!

The 2010 World Cup is just around the corner and Shakira has been busy filming the video for the official anthem, "Waka Waka," with South African group FreshlyGround. The musicians were joined by renowned soccer players—like Mexico's Rafa Márquez and Argentinean star Leonel Messi—and a cast of hundreds of extras.

Shakira just announced U.S. dates for her “She Wolf” tour! You can catch her at New York’s Madison Square Garden (September 21), Houston’s Toyota Center (October 8) or L.A.’s Staples Center (October 23) this fall and tickets go on sale Friday, May 7.
But before she hits U.S. soil, the pop star will perform the World Cup anthem, “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” at the event’s closing ceremony in Johannesburg on July 11.

Shakira has been on a whirl-wind media tour recently, speaking out against the passage of the new immigration laws in Arizona, SB 1070. Although some saw her involvement as an affront since she is not a United States citizen, we think it makes sense that Shaki stepped up to the plate; she herself admitted while speaking to the mayor of Phoenix, "I have no papers here."
