It was Colombian night on the Late Show with David Letterman Thursday night. Shakira, who is currently on tour, performed the merengue-tinged “Loca,” which the first single off of Sale El Sol due out in October.

Shakira put on a big show in New York city this week for a sold-out crowd at Madison Square Garden. Front and center at the concert were Chilean President Michelle Bachelet and the President of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos, who are in town for the United Nations General Assembly. The Presidents took pictures with fans as they were escorted to their respective seats by Secret Service. Shakira personally thanked them both from the stage for coming to see her.

Shakira's fans were in for a special treat when she performed in Montreal to kick off her new tour, aptly titled, Shakira in Concert.
The Colombian pop star (who has Lebanese roots) performed an awesome belly dance routine that made the audience go nuts! Watch the video below and you'll clearly see that Shakira's hips really don't lie:

Shakira told Latina.com that her upcoming all-Spanish album, Sale El Sol, promises to be a triumphant return to her roots. And judging by the new album cover released today, she's definitely keeping it glamorous!
“My new album is completely different from ‘Loba,’” Shakira told us in Miami at the Premios Juventud. “It reminds me a lot of Donde Estan Los Ladrones and Pies Descalzos."

Shakira is planning a new kind of tour to hit the UK this Winter. She is working with theater director Felix Barrettto plan a show that emphasizes audience interaction. The upcoming concerts, entitled Tour Of Earthly Delights, will kick off on December 14 in Manchester, and run until December 20.
