Last year, the Department of Justice reported that every seven minutes a child is bullied at school. According to DoSomething.org, approximately 160,000 kids skip school every day because of bullying, and one out of 10 students drop out of school because of it. With the impact Latinos have on entertainment, it’s only fitting to have a night dedicated to Latino film and television screen stealers.
The Imagen Foundation, a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote Latinos in entertainment, hosted its annual “Imagen Awards,” on Friday, Aug. 15.
The show drew the likes of Disney starlets such as Bella Thorne and Raini Rodriguez, both of whom were nominated for “Best Young Actress in a Television Series.”
