José Feliciano recently released a statement condemning the hateful parody of his seminal Christmas classic "Feliz Navidad." As we reported last week, his famous holiday tune was covered by a right-wing radio show recently. You can read the lyrics and hear the song here.

Right-wing conservative website Humanevents.com recently posted an incredibly vile, nasty and racist parody of the Jose Feliciano song, "Feliz Navidad." It took us a few attempts before we could even get through the whole ditty—written by Matt Fox and AJ Rice, producers for Talk Radio Network—without wanting to punch something.

The news team for Telemundo 52 recently reported on Alma Minerva Chacon, a women who was terrorized by Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Unfortunately, she is just the latest in a long line of Latinos who have suffered at the hands of the ruthless Sheriff whose personal goal is to rid Arizona of all "illegals" and just maybe, all Latinos. Arpaio has repeatedly stated that he is breaking no laws and just enforcing the constitution by arresting more than 600 Latinos a year.

ESPN broadcaster Bob Griese was reprimanded by the sports channel after making racist remarks with regards to superstar NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya. While commentating during Saturday's Ohio State-Minnesota football game, a promotion for NASCAR pictured the top five drivers, but Montoya wasn't one of them.

When Ernestina Madragon was pulled over by the police in Dallas, she understood that she'd be getting a ticket that she deserved for making an illegal U-turn. It was the citation on the ticket for "not speaking English" and the accompanying fine that confused her. "He asked me if I spoke English. I said I speak a little and understand it," Madragon said.

In an unusual move, Fidel Castro, 83, recently used his column in Granma, the state-run newspaper of Cuba, to defend President Obama.
Declaring that the right-wingers who oppose Obama's policy hate the president because he is black, Castro said, "I don't have the slightest doubt that the racist right will do everything possible to wear him down, blocking his program to get him out of the game one way or another."

Being a U.S. citizen and son of a decorated Vietnam veteran, Hector Veloz never expected to find himself captive in an ICE jail. But that's exactly what happened when immigration officials mistook him for an illegal immigrant and threw him into an Arizona jail cell for 13 months starting in 2007.
"It was a nightmare," Veloz, 37, told the San Francisco Chronicle.
