America lost an iconic figure in technology and business yesterday when Steve Jobs, co-founder of Apple Inc., died at 56. He'd been battling pancreatic cancer for years before his death was confirmed in a brief statement by the company. The former CEO of Apple was the mastermind behind its innovative gadgets and applications including the iPod, iTunes, iPhone and iPad.

— A new documentary follows the 2010 titleholder of “World’s Smallest Man,” which is held by 24-year-old Colombian Edward “Niño” Hernandez. The young man, who measures just 27 inches, is determined to use his status to help pull his family out of their life of poverty, according to Tr3s. The documentary aired yesterday at 10 pm on TLC.

It’s a huge year for both Prince Royce and Anthony “Romeo” Santos. The two New York-based Dominican-American bacheteros have crossed over from Spanish to English with huge success. Romeo, who has always weaved the two languages as a member of Aventura, is set to drop a solo album mixing elements of bachata, R&B, and pop with some English tracks. And Prince Royce, whose bilingual debut has remained at the top of the charts all year, will be releasing a full-length English album this year.

Last night, a normally quiet section of Miami was transformed into a sea of blue carpet, glittery dresses, and booming-loud performances as the 8th annual Premios Juventud youth awards show rolled into town. Dominican bachata singer Prince Royce will sing the national anthem and perform a special musical tribute at the CHCI’s 34th Annual Awards Gala during Hispanic Heritage Month. The gala, which is considered the premier event of Hispanic Heritage Month events, will take place on September 14th at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington D.C and is expected to welcome more than 3,000 Latino leaders, influencers and supporters.
