While giving an interview at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, Pedro Almodóvar was asked how he manages to coax such amazing performances out of his actors. "I play all the roles on set," Almodóvar said. "In a film I made a long time ago, I even performed cunnilingus on an actress to show the actor how to do it," the legendary Spanish director told shocked reporters at a press conference for his new film, Broken Embraces, which is premiering at the festival.

Penelope Cruz has all the luck. Not only does the Oscar-winning actress get to claim Javier Bardem as her man, but she was also dressed exclusively by Chanel in the upcoming Pedro Almodovar-directed Broken Embraces (see clips from the movie here).

Bernard Madoff operated a Ponzi scheme that eventually became one of the largest Wall Street scams in American history. Resulting in close to 50 billion dollars in losses for investors, the effects of the ponzi scheme have rippled across Latin America. Among those caught in the backlash is Celfin Capital SA, a Chilean brokerage house that was forced to cut their already tight budget in half after investors lost millions through Madoff.

Penelope Cruz may be on top of her game these days (red-hot career, gorgeous boyfriend, looks that could kill), but she wasn't always living the life of an A-lister. The normally reclusive Spanish star reveals a side of herself to W magazine we've never seen before—vulnerable, insecure, and impossibly shy for a woman whose every move is clocked by paparazzi.
