A new teaser for Pedro Almodovar's latest film La Piel Que Habito (The Skin I Live In) just dropped today and it looks so creepy...we can't wait! Not only will the film reunite Almodovar with longtime muse Antonio Banderas, but it's the director's first foray into the genre of a psychological thriller.
La Piel Que Habito is based on Thierry Jonquet's 1995 novel Mygale about an unhinged plastic surgeon who captures the man who viciously raped his daughter. Banderas will play the main character.

—Boardwalk Empire star Paz de la Huerta has been charged with assault for a fight with reality star Samantha Swetra, who appears in The City. The Manhattan District Attorney’s office confirmed that De La Huerta was hit with five misdemeanor charges, including two counts of third degree assault, attempted assault, harassment, and criminal possession of a weapon.

After only 30 previews and 69 performances, Pedro Almodovar's Broadway adaptation of his Oscar-nominated movie Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown will be closing on January 2nd.
The musical, although cast with big-name stars like Patti Lupone, didn't resonate with critics and was notable for its absence of Latino actors.

While giving an interview at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, Pedro Almodóvar was asked how he manages to coax such amazing performances out of his actors. "I play all the roles on set," Almodóvar said. "In a film I made a long time ago, I even performed cunnilingus on an actress to show the actor how to do it," the legendary Spanish director told shocked reporters at a press conference for his new film, Broken Embraces, which is premiering at the festival.
