Girls, meet your new crush: Vicente Garcia is the face of a new genre we are playfully dubbing “bacha-roots”—an exquisite fusion of tropical rhythms such as bachata, boogaloo and salsa with blues, jazz, folk, soul and pop.
The Dominican’s 10-song debut, Melodrama, now out, was recorded in Brooklyn, N.Y., and Santo Domingo with the help of producer Rafael Lazzaro.

We just got the tip off that up-and-coming pop star Jasmine V's video for the first single off her highly-anticipated new album is online!
The video for "All These Boys" is just as infectious as the song itself, showing an sexy (but age-appropriate!) Jasmine V. contemplating her options with all the boys knocking at the 16-year-old stunners door. We love this girl so remember that you heard it here first: Jasmine V is going to be a huge star!
Check it out below and tell us.

There was some confusion on the web about the nationality of 10-year-old YouTube singing sensation Maria Aragon. While we clearly would love to claim the little girl who can out sing Lady Gaga, her YouTube bio info clearly identifies her as a Canadian Filipina. That got us thinking, do you ever assume someone is Latino based on last name alone?
Latina, Filipina, Canadian, American—either way girl can sing and her YouTube channel has some other covers you might like, including one Bruno Mars' "Just the Way You Are."

Check out the new music video for Juan Luis Guerra's latest single "Lola's Mambo" off his album A Son de Guerra. The fun video does a great job embodying the energy of the song and makes you feel like dancing uncontrollably, just like the star of the video does!

We must admit, Bruno Mars and Janelle Monae’s electrifying performance at this year’s Grammys definitely left us wanting more. So when it was announced that the two would be performing together for their North American Hooligans in Wondaland tour, we were more than thrilled! The tour begins May 4th at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom and will conclude June 15th at the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix. Joining the tour are Plan B and Mayer Hawthorne & The Country on selected dates.

Yay! It's finally here. After much hype and controversy, the brand new video for Calle 13's single "Baile de los Pobres" is online.
Directed by Diego Luna the video tells the all-too-familiar tale of star-crossed lovers who are kept apart because the boy is poor and the girl is upper class, albeit with an interesting twist. Warning: The main character in the video spend the of the first few minutes totally desnudo! Check it out below.

Warner Music Mexico just announced that Maná will be releasing their new studio album Drama Y Luz on April 12. The iconic Mexican rock band hasn’t released a new album in five years, since Amar Es Combatir, which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and managed to move over a million copies in a depressed musical climate. The album was followed up by a two-year run of sold-out concerts around the world, making it the band’s longest and most successful tour, which is probably why the pressure is on with this one. But don’t expect the band to rush anything out the door.
