A snippet of a never before released Demi Lovato track has hit the internet! The single, called "Shut Up and Love Me," is an old song and most likely will not make it onto any new album Lovato may release in 2011.
But nonetheless, it's a glimmer of hope for Lovato fans, who have been waiting patiently for the talented singer and actress to come out of rehab. Lovato has been receiving treatment for "emotional and physical issues" at Timberline Knolls, a center located just outside of Chicago in Lemont, Illinois since October, 2010.

We were super excited to hear that Jennifer Lopez was already shooting the music video for her new single, “On the Floor!”
The new American Idol judge looks absolutely stunning (as usual) and the energy of the video really does make you want to just dance."I play one character where she kind of runs this party, acts like she’s kind of over it, but at the same time loves it and loves this kind of underground kind of party dance culture," explains Lopez. "So I got to be wild and crazy, and I got to be sexy and sweet too."

Considering the chilly climate currently plaguing the east coast, many of us could use a little California dreaming right about now. We can look forward to the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, from April 15–17. Held in the desert, the three-day outdoor concert features over 150 acts, from folk rock newbies like Mumford & Sons to respected songstresses like Ms. Lauryn Hill, plus a dozen or so Latin performers sprinkled throughout. Here’s a mash-up of what to expect each day:

Some people are questioning producer RedOne and Jennifer Lopez on the origins of her new single featuring Pitbull, "On the Floor."
Critics are pointing out similarities between the new song and a single Kat de Luna released back in November of 2010 in Europe called "Party O'Clock." We can't lie, the competing dance ditties do share similar lyrics and a general sound—but isn't producer RedOne (who created both songs) more to blame for this faux-pas than either of these Latin divas?

Justin Bieber, who? Pop singer Jasmine Villegas is readying her debut album and doesn’t have time to think about the rumors. Yes, she was the girl in The Bieb’s video “Baby,” and yes, she was the opening act on his tour last year, and maybe they dated or not. But that’s last year’s news, and the Filipino-Mexican beauty is focused on her music in 2011.

When Mexican singer-songwriter Ximena Sariñana made her Spanish-language debut in 2008 with the album Mediocre, critics went mad over the 25-year-old, gushing about her gorgeous vocals and thoughtful lyrics in one jazzy song after another. To top it all off, she received both Grammy and Latin Grammy nominations—no small feat for a first album.

Bruno Mars is fast becoming one of our fave new artists and we have a sneaky feeling that 2011 is his year. It might have something to do with his seven (!) Grammy nominations, or maybe it's his awesome new album Doo-wops & Hooligans that we have in constant rotation on our iPod. Either way, our suspicions were further confirmed when we saw him absolutely slay his performance on The Ellen Degeneres Show.

If the name Esperanza Spalding doesn’t ring any bells, than perhaps you haven’t been paying much attention to the jazz music scene lately. The 26-year-old bassist, vocalist and composer was recently nominated for a Best New Artist Grammy, so you have a month (the awards show airs on February 13) to find out why the New York Times describes her performances as “light, melodic, joyful.”
