Warmer weather is coming, and as we put together our summer playlist we’re 120 percent sure Spanish indie pop quintet Polock will be on it. Their debut single “Fireworks” is the kind of up-tempo ditty that defines backyard bbq's and long drives with the top down while rocking neon Wayfarers en route to La Costa del Sol. The synth-laden hooks take us back to the 80s—possibly our favorite musical era ever— and remind us a whole lot of France’s Phoenix.

It’s hard keeping track of all these reggaeton duos, isn’t it? But some definitely stand out from the pack, like Alexis & Fido (born Raúl Alexis Ortíz and Joel Martínez in Cayey, Puerto Rico). In the six years they’ve been in the game, they’ve given us some memorable party anthems (remember the ubiquitous “Eso Ehh”?).

Los Amigos Invisibles’ primary songwriter and guitarist, Jose Luis Pardo (aka DJ Afro), is making his solo debut this week with Free (Nacional), an eclectic album that coasts a wide musical landscape. So what can we expect from the man responsible for many of the hits that made the Venezuelan party band a sensation over the last 20 years? The answer is anything, as the record’s title implies. We caught up with Pardo ahead of the release and here’s what he had to say:

Jennifer Lopez has been working on another amazing collaboration with rapper, Lil Wayne. The pop star, who is releasing Love? in April (her first new studio album in four years), revealed that she has a new song called “I’m Into You” featuring none other than Weezy himself on the upcoming album. The track is rumored to be the next single.

When your debut album gets pushed back a few times, it’s time to start worrying. Fortunately, Gustavo Galindo, whom we last caught up with in September 2010, has the backing of his tocayo, Oscar and Grammy-winning producer Gustavo Santaolalla. He can now breathe a sigh of relief because his baby, titled Entre La Ciudad y El Mar (Surco/Universal) is finally out this week! The talented Mexican American singer-songwriter talked to us about how it feels to see his hard work finally pay off.

Selena Gomez debuted her new single on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show yesterday and we've gotta say, it's pretty fantastic! "Who Says" is an anthem celebrating individuality and empowerment and seems like a direct shot at all of the folks who have been trying to tear Gomez down since it was revealed that she is dating Justin Bieber, though the pop star refuses to confirm exactly who the song is aimed at.

When was the last time you listened to some exciting, new merengue? Well, Rita Indiana Hernandez is about to change all that. The 6-foot-tall Dominican singer and her group Rita Indiana y Los Misterios have created their very own experimental version of the genre using electrifying techno beats, 80’s pop ensembles and Afro-Caribbean rhythms.

Ricky Martin has a way of enlivening others through his music and the second single “Más” off his new album “MAS (Musica + Alma + Sexo)” is a prime example. In the up-tempo song, the 39-year-old Puerto Rican singer recounts the beauty of making the most of life.
The lyrics, which speak of being true to yourself and following your destiny, may hit close to home for Martin, who's been on a whirlwind of TV, radio and awards show appearances since coming out as a gay man. We can’t wait to hear más from him!

We don’t how Pitbull has the time to make all these hit songs, but we’re loving it! In just a matter of weeks we’ve heard Pitbull in Jennifer Lopez’s hit single “On The Floor,” and seen the video for Mr. 305’s latest single with Jencarlos Canela, “Tu Cuerpo.”

As the strong-willed title character in the 70’s TV series, The New Adventures of Wonder Woman, there was nothing Lynda Carter couldn’t do. Funny how life imitates art!
