The cast of NBC's Celebrity Apprentice has never looked better! You can thank former Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza (and modeling icon Patricia Velasquez) for infusing the motley crew of stars with a ton of Latina beauty and smarts. After five weeks, the 25-year-old Venezuelan model/philanthropist is still going strong on the cutthroat reality show. Mendoza’s charity of choice is the Latino Commission on AIDS, an organization she’s been involved with since 2008.

Vocal powerhouse Christina Aguilera and the boys of The Voice have all signed on to do a third season of the NBC talent show. Even though season two is only three episodes in, fans of the show (and there are many fans) are not surprised the hit is being renewed. The season premiere, which followed the Super Bowl, was the highest rated entertainment show in six years, and it is currently averaging the top ratings on television.

Last night on NBC’s The Sing-Off, electro-funky quintet Pentatonix was crowned the champion.
The group won a $200,000 prize and a Sony recording contract on the cappella competition show. That’s great news for the Texas-based group, but what’s most thrilling to us is that there’s a Latina woman in Pentatonix!
