We're not sure why we're so surprised. Racism is alive and well, and Twitter's newest victim is 11-year-old Sebastien de la Cruz. Last night in San Antonio, de la Cruz sang the national anthem before Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Heat and the Spurs. de la Cruz, also known as "El Charro de Oro," gained notoriety as a contestant on NBC's America's Got Talent. As he began singing, Twitter went crazy, with people posting anti-Latino sentiments toward the young boy.

Demi Lovato sang the national anthem last night at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington – and killed it! At Game 5 of the 2011 World Series, the part-Mexican singer/actress sang her heart out.
Lovato sported bold red lipstick and a red Texas t-shirt – a fitting outfit because of the star’s Texas upbringing. The game was between the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers.
