It's not often that a Dominican girl from Washington Heights gets dubbed "the next Alicia Keys," but for 17-year-old Karina Pasian, that sort of hype is common. "It's an honor because I do admire her--and we're both light-skinned and play the piano, so of course the comparisons are going to be there," she says. "But I am my own person."

Good news for music fans! Latina.com is giving you the chance to go on a date with boricua pop star Colby O'Donis, who burst onto the music scene this summer with "What You Got" (his totally catchy single featuring R&B hitmaker Akon). Just like in his music video (click below to watch), the 19-year old cutie will take one lucky girl shopping at a trendy boutique in New York City and end things off with a personal serenade of his song...and maybe even his hot new single, "Don't Turn Back." We have goosebumps just thinking about it!

Reggaeton's duo dinámico, Wisin y Yandel, was the big winner at last night's Premios Juventud in Miami, scooping up four awards for "My Favorite Video," "CD to Die For," "Favorite Urban Artist" and a new category, "Favorite Ringtone" (when will English-language shows get smart enough to pick up this category?) It was a also a big night for Jennifer Lopez, Ricky Martin and Aventura, who followed WY closely with three awards each.

American Idol’s never seen anything like Jason Castro. When the 20 year-old Texan-colombiano entered the juggernaut singing competition this year strumming a guitar and sporting dreadlocks down to his ribcage, he seemed doomed for an early, Danny Noriega-like elimination.
