Zuleyka Rivera, who was crowned Miss Universe in 2006, is pregnant with her first child, People en Español reports. The Puerto-Rican beauty queen issued a press release which stated that she is pregnant with fellow Boricua Dallas Mavericks player, JJ Barea.

Here at Latina.com we've noticed a trend among our favorite latinas. They all seem to be chopping off their long locks and going for short and sexy 'dos. After seeing Salma Hayek and Christina Aguilera's new looks, we weren't too surprised when Miss Universe Stefania Fernandez arrived at the New York premiere of Did You Hear About the Morgans?with her own version of a sleek bob. The Venezuelan beauty queen has ditched the pageant hair and opted for this more modern style.

Venezuela is known for a lot of things: Hugo Chavez, Angel Falls and having the most beautiful women in the world. For a country that is relatively small, it has churned an impressive number of international pageant winners, most recently Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza.
Behind every beauty queen is the 60-year-old Osmel Sousa, president of the Miss Venezuela pageant. He also runs a beauty school in the hills of Caracas, a large pink building where the country's most beautiful women go in search of perfection.

Miss Venezuela Dayana Mendoza was crowned Miss Universe 2008 on Sunday evening in Nha Trang, Vietnam.
The 22-year-old Miss Venezuela beat out three other Latinas for the title—Miss Colombia Taliana Vargas, who won first runner-up, as well as Miss Dominican Republic and Miss Mexico, who came in third and fifth, respectively. Miss Russia rounded out the top five in the fourth runner-up spot.
