Fruitvale Station hits theaters this Friday, but has already made a splash at Sundance and Cannes, winning awards for the Audience Award for U.S. dramatic film and Best Film, respectively. The film chronicles the story of Oscar Grant (played by Michael B. Jordan), a young man shot by a police officer at the Oakland, California Fruitvale Bay Area Rapid Transit Station.

Melonie Diaz, 25, has signed on for a three-episode guest-starring role on FX’s plastic surgery drama, Nip/Tuck, Vivo Por TiVo has confirmed. She’ll play Ramona, a beautiful Latina in her 20s who helps her fiancé Matt McNamara (John Hensley) confront his two fathers, Sean (Dylan Walsh) and Christian (Julian McMahon) about their less-than-perfect parenting skills.
