Uh oh! It looks like the New York Yankees could be losing Alex Rodriguez for the remainder of the season. According to reports from Yahoo! Sports and the NY Daily News, A-Rod and several other MLB players are facing possible suspension in conncetion with a second doping offense.

It's a good day for catcher Yadier Molina, who accepted a 5-year deal with the St. Louis Cardinals for $75 million. The deal keeps him on the team through 2017, and he has a chance to get even more out of it with a mutual, $15 million option for 2018. This is also good news for the Cardinals, who recently lost Albert Pujols to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim.

- ‘The Man’ may be a term that most alpha males find endearing, but not for professional baseball player Albert Pujols. An Angels marketing campaign has sprouted 20 billboard advertisements across Southern California, including one of Pujols with the words “El Hombre” (“The Man") written across the board. The slugger disapproves of the campaign out of respect for St. Louis Cardinals Hall of Famer Stan Musial, who earned the original nickname.
