Word on the street is our favorite superheroine Wonder Woman could be hitting the big screen, if Hollywood could stop giving excuses. According to USA Today, the these excuses include that she's too Amazonian and too feminist; the movie would be a bust at the box office; her storyline isn't interesting enough and her attire is too "skimpy" for action-packed scenes.

In the ABC Family original movie, Mean Girls 2 (premiering tonight at 8/7c), Maiara Walsh plays Mandi DuPont, a verbally abusive high school Queen Bee who bullies other girls and stops at nothing to bring them down. But in real life, Walsh says she was the one who was victimized by bullies in school growing up.

We know that Washington State, where The Twlight Saga: Eclipse is set, is not exactly brimming with diversity, but we couldn’t help but imagine what the film, which comes out today, would be like if it were a little bit browner.

Maiara Walsh, 22, a series regular on the hit dramedy, Desperate Housewives, is leaving Wisteria Lane temporarily for a one-episode guest appearance on ABC Family’s The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Walsh told Latina.com exclusively (spoiler alert!): “I play one of Shailene Woodley’s friends and a fellow teen mother.” The Brazilian actress’s episode will air sometime in August. Walsh isn’t the only Latina actress who booked a guest-starring role this week.

Latinos don’t fit into any one mold. We come in all shapes, sizes and colors—and our TV stars are no exception. Last week, Latina.com reader Maria Ortiz proved that when she pointed out that Glee star, Lea Michelle, is actually part-Spanish (she has Sephardic Jewish heritage) on our Facebook fan page. Maria’s observation prompted us to think of other Latin TV stars who people might not know are Latin.
