Movie lovers, it’s that time of year again to support Latino independent films! The New York International Film Festival rolled out the red carpet for the premiere night screening of the Sundance hit, Filly Brown. The film directed by Youssef Delara and Michael Olmos, features Gina Rodriguez as an aspiring hip-hop artist who struggles to balance success and her personal life while her mother, played by Jenni Rivera, is incarcerated.
