A disturbing new study was recently released that shows that Latino children are less than half as likely than their White and African-American counterparts to be enrolled in preschool.

This is a very disturbing trend. Only around 35% of 4-year old Latino children had attended at least some kind of preschool. Preschool and early education are some of the greatest determining factors for later educational success, so the fact that almost two-thirds of Latino children are not receiving this step-up is disheartening.
