With the wedding date changed, I’ve been very lackadaisical when it comes to continuing the planning process. However, time flies and soon enough my wedding will be right around the corner. If I don’t get back to it I’ll be scrambling in the last minute trying to get things done.

In Switched At Birth, a new series premiering tonight at 9/8c on ABC Family, two teenage girls discover they were accidentally switched as newborns in the hospital. Mexican actress Constance Marie (The George Lopez Show) plays the mother of one of the girls (Katie Leclerc). The mother of Arnold Schwarzenegger's illegitimate love child has been revealed. 50-year-old Mildred Patricia Baena (who identifies herself as Latina on a social network) worked for the Schwarzenegger family for 20 years and was pregnant with Arnold's son at the same time Maria Shriver was pregnant with their youngest son. Shockingly, the boys were born just 5 days apart.

Demi Lovato should be comforted by the fact that she is not the only teenage Latina to struggle with emotional issues. Unfortunately, as we reported in Sound the Alarm, written by Christina Hernandez for the March 2010 issue, suicide is an increasingly alarming trend among young Latinas.
One in seven Latina teenagers will attempt suicide. More Latina high school students will attempt suicide than black non-Hispanic (9.9 percent) and white non-Hispanic (7.7 percent) teen girls, reports the CDC.
