Not so fast. You’ll have to wait till Nov. 5 to find out the winners of the 10th Latin Grammy Awards. But it’s probably safe to say that Calle 13 is going to walk away victorious. The Puerto Rican group received the most nominations: They’re up for Album of the Year and Best Urban Album for Los De Atrás Vienen Conmigo, Record of the Year and Best Alternative Song for “No Hay Nadie Como Tú” (with Café Tacuba) and Best Short Form Music Video for “La Perla.”

You'd never know it by the effortless and impeccable way she presents herself every time we see her in public, but Gloria Estefan would rather spend an evening wearing sweats and writing her next hit than dressing up for an awards show.
Backstage at the Latin Grammys, the singer told the press that her least favorite part about her high-profile life is "the red carpet!"

We spent the first night of the Latin Grammys running around between parties, events and red carpets, trying to shove our camera in the faces of as many celebrities as we could, and keep our balance despite a constant supply of free Heinekens. So when pop/R&B sensations Frankie J and Paula DeAnda gave us the opportunity to chill out for a minute in the back of their tour bus, we just couldn't say no.

It was an evening straight out of a fairy tale: Latin stars descended on the red carpet in their bespoke tailored suits and minimalist ball gowns (hello, Alejandra Guzman!) to hail the Queen of Latin Pop herself, Gloria Estefan. Jose Feliciano, Andy Garcia, Luis Fonsi, Patti Labelle and John Legend were just some of the celebs that came out to the George R. Brown Convention Center in H-town for the 2008 Latin Recording Academy Person of the Year tribute to Estefan.
