Chances are you are watching Telemundo's telenovela phenomenon La Reina del Sur, well, because, pretty much everyone is!
The telenovela is the most expensive ever in the history of the Spanish-language TV channel and it looks like the investment is paying off. La Reina del Sur has been smashing ratings records left and right (dominating programs across the board)—even English-language media is beginning to take notice.

Looks like returning to telenovelas for La Reina del Sur was a smart move after all for Kate del Castillo. The new show is ratings gold and has raked in so many viewers night after night that even English-language programs are noticing. As a matter of fact, the Telemundo soap opera (the most expensive in the channel's history) was featured recently in a special Today show segment!

-Rosario Dawson surprised everyone this weekend at the Spirit Awards. Paul Rudd and Eva Mendes were presenting the Best Screenplay award when Dawson suddenly ran on stage, joined the two and grabbed Rudd’s crotch! Rudd looked completely surprised but after a while didn’t seem to mind that Dawson was holding his package. It had to have been a dare!

Thalía is due to make a comeback to the silver screen within the next few months. The Mexican singer–who’s been away from the acting scene for 11 years–will star in the third season of the hit Mexican criminal drama Mujeres Asesinas. The show was adapted from the Argentinean original. Other confirmed actresses include singer Belinda and Weeds star Kate del Castillo.

You may recognize her from countless telenovelas. Now Mexican actress Kate del Castillo is coproducing and starring in her own online Web novela called Vidas Cruzadas on Univision.com. Castillo, 37, believes these Mexican soap operas are one of the country’s greatest contributions to American culture. She’s also joined the L’Oréal Paris girls club as its newest spokesperson. Weeds actress Kate del Castillo and boyfriend, actor/model Aaron Diaz, tied the knot in a Las Vegas ceremony over the weekend, Kate’s rep confirms.
Del Castillo, 36, and Diaz, 27 announced their engagement in Sept. ’08 and initially said they planned to get married later this year. This is Del Castillo’s second marriage. She divorced soccer player Luis Garcia in 2004 after three years together.
