Diego Luna definitely took a stand when he received a Hispanic Heritage Award. The 33-year-old actor and director received the Inspira Award, which honors members of the Hispanic community who "inspire youth." Luna accepted the award and dedicated it to the country's undocumented immigrants and those fighting for their rights.

The Hispanic Heritage Award winners have been announced and we could not be prouder! The awards were established in 1987 by President Ronald Reagan to commemorate the creation of Hispanic Heritage Month. The awards honor Latino leaders who have made a positive impact in various fields. This year, the awards will be held on September 5 and will air on MundoFox on September 15. Chespirito, also known by his government name Roberto Gomez Bolaños, received the Legend Award at the 25th Annual Hispanic Heritage Awards last week. The 82-year-old legendary Mexican actor is best known for his role in El Chavo del Ocho, a Televisa show that centers on the adventures of an orphan named Chavo and other inhabitants of an apartment building. Bolaños, who created the sitcom, played the orphan, who was named El Chavo.
