George Zimmerman has been taken into custody by Florida police.
According to ABC News, Zimmerman is being held by police following a domestic altercation involving a gun. The neighborhood watchman has been placed in investigative detention after suspicion of domestic battery against his estranged wife, Shellie.

George Zimmerman may have been found not guilty in the Trayvon Martin case, but his wife isn't finding herself as fortunate.
According to Fox News Latino, Shellie Zimmerman has pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor perjury charge linked to a bail hearing following her husband's arrest in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Martin.

According to Fox News, Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara says he plans to request that the state of Florida cover $200,000 to $300,000 of his client's legal expenses.
