During his "Living La Vida Loca" days, everyone thought Ricky Martin was on top of the world. But deep down, the Puerto Rican singer was suffering from a major identity crisis. Last night, Martin visited The Tonight Show With Jay Leno to talk about those struggles. “Being Ricky Martin, what Ricky Martin represented back then and what I was feeling was not compatible at all," Ricky said.

The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) announced today that it will honor Grammy Award-winning singer, Ricky Martin with the Vito Russo Award at the 22nd Annual GLAAD Media Awards on Saturday March 19th in New York City.
Named after one of GLAAD’s founders, the award recognizes an openly LGBT media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting equal rights for the community.

After years of speculation and avoiding the uncomfortable question about whether or not he was gay (because really, did it matter?!), Ricky Martin has finally come out of the closet.
On the singer's Web site rickymartinmusic.com, he gives a seemingly heartfelt explanation for why he has, up until this point, been so hush-hush about his orientation. Though we haven't personally heard him say the words, the implications of this letter have the Web world abuzz.
