is reportedly in talks to star in a big screen adaptation of Gabriel Garcia Marquez's novel Noticia de un Secuestro. Argentinian screenplay writer Aida Bortnick has confirmed that the Mexicana actress is the strongest candidate to star in the adaptation of the Nobel prize winning author's gripping, non-fiction account of the infamous 1990 kidnapping by members of Pablo Escobar's drug cartel of Maruja Pachon de Villamizar, a Colombian journalist married to prominent politician Alberto Villamizar, and his sister, Beatriz.
