The U.S. Women's Team, though ranked #1 in the world, has had to claw and fight for every game they have won—especially Sunday's nail biter against the favored Brazilian national team, which was decided by penalty shots.

Last night on NBC’s The Voice, the field was cut from 8 contestants down to the Final Four and two Latinos (Vicci Martinez of Tacoma, Washington and Javier Colon of Bridgeport, Connecticut) were chosen by their coaches (and America) to compete in next week’s season finale!

Regardless of Jennifer Lopez's hair, we can not ignore the fact that part Puerto Rican country crooner Scotty McCreery has managed to make it this far in season 10 of American Idol! He's facing stiff competition, particularly from Haley Reinhart, who seemed about poised to run away with the show last night, until she took a tumble. But hey, even J.Lo has had her share of trips and fails, and we know that what matters most is recovering with grace which is exactly what she did and Lopez commended her for it.

After a pitch-perfect duet of Lean On Me with his brother Mark two weeks ago that won unanimous praise from the judges, Aaron Gutierrez was eliminated this week on American Idol. The 27-year-old Mexican American spoke exclusively with Latina.com about his elimination and told us why he thinks he deserved to go all the way to the finals on FOX's hit show.
