Bergdorf Goodman introduces the BG sale online and in stores. They are reducing prices up to 50% off on designer collections, the shoe salon and handbags. So if you’ve been holding out all season to treat yourself to those thigh-high Fendi boots that were $1380, they are now a mere $966. And this adorable Stella McCartney blouse with the fluttery cap sleeves is going for $847. You think that’s a lot? It was $1265.

If you head to your nearest H&M this weekend--and trust us, you should--expected to face a madhouse scene, and to leave with a superfly new wardrobe. Lovers of Commes des Garçons’ unadulterated avant garde flair can now find the Japanese-designed collection at H&M. The low-priced collaboration, which includes clothing for men, women and children, was formally launched yesterday, which caused long lines to form outside of H&Ms in Tokyo days in advance. Get there fast while sizes are still available!

At long last, the Half-Yearly Sale at Nordstrom has arrived. Everything is 40 percent off for women and kids, which means it’s a great time to stock up on marked down lingerie, shoes, and coats. We're especially coveting this adorable black quilted coat by See by Chloe, originally $675 now $399. And if the kids are good, you might pick something up for them, too!

Maybe it's the imploding economy, but there seems to be a lot of irresistible sales popping off this weekend. For example, edgy L.A. based designer Whitley Kros usually maintains a fairly non-thrilling online presence at whitleykros.com, but the label has just launched a special e-boutique with markdowns on all types of yummies, like this adorable slouchy short sleeve pink and white striped cardigan--$130, down from $285!

New Yorkers, check out the Ruby Slipper Collection at Saks Fifth Avenue. Nineteen designers have reinterpreted Dorothy’s sparkly crimson pumps from The Wizard of Oz. Proceeds from the exhibit benefit the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation, and perhaps if you click your heels enough times, the exhibit will come to a town near you!
