Prison Break alum, Amaury Nolasco tragically lost his sister, Deborah this past July, when the 33-year-old—who had a history of heart problems—died suddenly of an apparent heart attack. The Boricua actor, 39, who next be seen starring on NBC’s Jerry Bruckheimer drama, Chase (which premieres next Monday) spoke to Latina.com about his loss.
“It’s been a rough year,” Nolasco said. “We lost my sister a couple of months ago, so it’s been hard. She was the love of my life. She was my light.”

America Ferrera's father Gregorio Ferrera died in a hospital in the capital city of Honduras over the weekend. Officials told EFE that Gregorio, who had long suffered from diabetes, was admitted last week to Tegucigalpa’s Teaching Hospital where he died early Sunday due to other complications. Ferrera had been estranged from her father since her parents split when she was still a little girl.

The NY Times recently ran a heartbreaking story about Elizabeth Drummond and Segundo Encalada, a couple who were married with children when Encalada was forced by immigration officials to take a "voluntary departure" back to Ecuador. A lawyer advised the Drummond-Encalada family that the process of obtaining a visa from a United States Consulate in Encalada's native Ecuador would take two months to a year.
