Two miners were killed and a third critically injured when an accidental explosion ripped through a copper and gold mine in Chile—not far from where the heroic rescue of 33 Chilean miners occurred just weeks ago.
The miners were working in a new mine called Los Reyes, just 30 miles away from Copiapo. The San Jose mine where the 33 were saved is on the outskirts of Copiapo.
