Last night at the ALMA Awards, Eva Longoria pulled off a pretty amazing feat. Besides hosting the evening, executive producing the show and accepting the award for Desperate Housewives, the star changed her hairstyle practically every time she walked out on stage!

On Saturday night, the best and brightest Latinos in Hollywood gathered for the taping of the 2011 National Council of La Raza (NCLR) ALMA Awards, and we got exclusive behind-the-scenes access! The ceremony hosted by George Lopez and Eva Longoria, celebrates positive portrayals of Latinos in television, film, and music and some of our fave stars took home the top prizes.

Eva Longoria has always been an outspoken and proud Latina. She even went back to school a few years ago to get her MA in Chicano Studies and to brush up on her Spanish. We love that she is always so involved in political issues surrounding our community and that she is an outspoken advocate for countless organizations from MALDEF to the NCLR and the campaign to create a National Museum of the American Latino. With the Fall TV season starting next week (September 13th), we decided there was no better time to evaluate the diversity efforts of various TV networks (both broadcast & cable). Over the next couple of weeks, we'll be grading the networks (including FOX, NBC, CBS, HBO, and Showtime, among others), on how well (or not well) they feature Latino stars on primetime television. First up? ABC.

From Selena Gomez's clothing line for Kmart to Eva Mendes's home line for Macy's to J.Lo (the star who started it all) landing a historic branding deal with Kohl's—our girls expanded their empires at a break-neck pace in 2010.
