This Thursday, the upcoming comedy show Rob! is set to premiere on CBS. The show centers on an architect (played by Rob Schneider) who marries into a tight-knit Mexican family and has a slew of well-known Latino actors such as Cheech Marin and Lupe Ontiveros in tow.

¡Rob! centers on an architect (played by Schneider) who marries into a tight-knit Mexican family. In the hilarious teaser, Schneider’s character is at dinner with his wife’s family and they’re all yelling over one another—he thinks they’re arguing, but they’re just talking. It's a quick lesson in acculturation.

In the new gender-bending Adam Sandler comedy Jack and Jill (opening in theaters nationwide today), Mexican actor Eugenio Derbez plays a gardener named Felipe. And while some Latinos might take issue with yet another Latino playing "the help," in a Hollywood movie (gardeners, maids, cooks, etc)—Derbez says there's nothing wrong with playing a gardener. “People are never happy,” says the 49-year-old comedian.
