Disney is a magical place where dreams come true. So it comes as no surprise that Rita Ferro was able to make all her dreams come true, by working for Disney. By age 44, she has already earned the title of Executive Vice President of Disney Media Sales and Marketing. The Cuban-American native of Coral Gables, Florida has also worked for ESPN international, MTV Networks in Latin America and Blue Pearl Entertainment before making magic happen at Disney.

Disney tried to trademark Dia de los Muertos. Yes, the Mexican holiday. We wish we were kidding, but the mass media corporation had actually placed a trademark request earlier this month to the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
Disney’s reasoning? According to a story by Fox News Latino, the company sought to trademark “Dia de los Muertos” for merchandising purposes.

Talk about a piece of cake! One of Disney Channel's biggest stars, Martina Stoessel celebrated her 16th birthday during a studio visit in Burbank, California yesterday! The Argentine actress plays the lead in the telenovela Violetta, which is the highest rated tween show in Latin America.
"Thanks for all of the birthday wishes! I ended my day so happy! Love you guys," she tweeted to her fans.

Disney has released images and details of the newest princess, and some are not happy. The company had announced plans for a new Disney Latina princess, Sofia, that will be starring in a Disney Channel movie, followed by a TV series on both the Disney Channel and Disney Junior. But the newest images of the princess have many questioning the reasoning behind her appearance: light skin, light blue eyes and light brown hair.
